My BirTthd@y SuRPriSe

I went to a concert for my birthday Randy surprised me and got me a ticket to go see Sherwood.
Randy will hand me a CD and then tells me to play it in the car.
He'll say" I think you'll like this!"
He's always right. I started listening to them a couple of years ago.
Loved all their songs. Could sing all the words. Yep.........I have to admit that I'm one of those that sings in the car, even at stop lights- especially 70's songs.
My girls get embarrassed and ask me to stop!
But...I can't help myself!

Sherwood was actually opening for......are you ready for this?
Hanson! What? Those boys are still around?
Almost everyone came for Hanson so after Sherwood played we went out to the lobby during intermission. We were glad all the fans for Hanson stayed inside cuz we were able to hang out and talk with Sherwood. Randy told them it was my surprise birthday present to come.
They were like- You like us??
guitar- Dan
Mikey-keyboards
Randy tells Mikey, "this is my Mom.
She knows all your songs and sang all the words tonight!
I think it blew him away!
he's probably thinking- WOW, she's older than my mom!

Nate- lead singer and guitar

david-guitar
very nice and personable

Before we left for Tucson, I asked Randy if I would be the oldest one there?
He just said-"come on Mom. It'll be fun!"
So...I thought, I'll never see these people again. So I just had a blast with my 3 peeps!
So, how was Hanson?
Don't know, don't care!
We went home!

Preston Carl Day

A very special day for this handsome little guy!
We all went up to Showlow for the blessing of Preston.

We're so happy for this new little family!

We had a surprise for Devin and Preston. When Devin unwrapped the present, inside was....... MOUSIE!

Yes, it's true, Mousie is still alive! He's been stored up in my closet for many, many years! This was Devin's favorite toy when he was little. Devin gave him a hair cut once and he is missing his mouth and part of his nose! But Mousie was so loved!! (move over velveteen rabbit)
It seems like Preston has taken a liking to him already!

Labor Day Weekend

Chad, Devin and Dad had fun golfing! They either did really good.....or not!
When the guys were not out golfing, we spent alot of time outside on the patio watching the other golfers. Devin and Chad were obsessed with lost golf balls and the balls that went into the pond behind Devin's house. They collected lost balls throughout the day. They had fun planning their invention of this giant net they would put into the pond and every night they would somehow crank it up and the net would be filled with all these golf balls. My sons, the millionaires!

enjoying a sucker with Lilly

The famous pond beyond the house! This time there were alot of ducks for Avery to feed!
It was just beautiful looking out on the pond. We had sunshine, clouds and some thunderstorms, a little rain. The temperature was wonderful all weekend!
