FUN TiMES TOGeTHeR

Our family is such a great blessing to us! What would life be without them?
Here are some of the things we did together:
It's been years since we have had a family picture with everyone. Either the boys were on missions, not everyone could come, or a spouse wasn't there, etc. SO, I was very excited to have my whole family home for this one day. My goal was to get a picture. So I noticed that no one was having naps so I said- "Hey, let's get a picture!" So everyone was getting in there places and Devry said, "Where's Toree?" and I said, "oh!! I could just spit!"
I forgot she had gone with friends to a New Years Eve party!
We'll have to paste her in there!

We love our firepit. So we must "always" love marshmellows!

Lulu loves roasting the mellows!

We had so much fun playing games! We brought out Luck Plus card game that we hadn't played in years. It was new all over again!

Choo Choo

We took the kids to the Train Park in Scotsdale. Cooper and Avery love trains!
Being Christmas time, the park was very festive and fun
These two mostly came along because they heard we were going out to lunch after the park!

just waiting our turn

Avery thought the train ride was great!
Cooper liked riding in the cattle car. Lindsay took a turn with him in there and she said she couldn't see a thing! (no kidding!)

very fun ride around the park

So here's a BIG thank-you, ahead of time, to my married kids!

We played alot of the Beatles Rockband. It's amazing how many years we have been singing these old songs and now my kids like to sing them!

Do you see why I love being a Grandma?

These two had such a great time together.

and these two!
"Hey, Joseph. What's up?" Avery found out that Grandma didn't mind him carrying these around since they're made out of cardboard! He had a great time.

Lindsay finally lost her tooth! That was pretty exciting!

Our life-size Cabbage Patch Kid

When Davis came over the other night, he reminded us of something from the past especially with that shirt on. We couldn't put our finger on it. Then it hit us!! We ran to the toy closet and got down the Cabbage Patch Kids. And there he was!!!

Family Traditions

Our Annual Christmas Nativity
Good participating this year except we couldn't get the wise men to show up!
It's always hard to gather the grandkids for a pic and get them all sitting. It looks pretty calm but after they shouted "CHEESE!"......the little ones burst into tears! The volume was pretty high. That next pic would have been a classic.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS!
What a wonderful time of the year to enjoy our families and to
remember the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our Family has been truly blessed this past year.

Our desire is to be like Him and celebrate His birth by being followers of Christ in our words and deeds.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and send our love to all of you!

My love/hate relationship with sandboxes

Every once in a great while I come up with "something" that I'm kinda proud of! This time it would be a sandbox for my grandkids! I have great memories of playing with my cousins in my Grandma Hansen's sandbox. We would spend hours out there under her tree having a wonderful time. We always had sandboxes for our own kids but I hated how they would track it in the house in their shoes or pockets...whew....and in their hair! (I didn't solve that one, so get over it!) So, here is my sandbox!
you heard me- a - sand - box.
Comes with a lid!
They sit "around it." Not "in it." And you can get little cushions for their little buns! (optional)

I put my sandbox on my pavers so when the sand gets dumped out, accidently of course, I just sweep it into the cracks!

We are Thankful!

This decoration is about 21 years old. Devin made it in Cub Scouts when we lived in Kansas City, Missouri. We hope the indian can keep standing up!

Avery being festive.

We were excited once again to eat outside on the patio. Some years it's a little nippy.
