While I was up in Utah, Jillyn and I drove to SLC Sunday morning to watch the live broadcast of the Spoken Word on Temple Square. It was so wonderful! The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and orchestra are amazing! The music was heavenly!!! It was especially exciting since my cousin, Laurie is a new member of the choir. I found her up on the 6th row. I felt so proud of her and her great accomplishment.

Then....I was very happy because I got to talk to my childhood friend, Lloyd Newell. I haven't seen him for a few years. Wish we would have had more time to visit but he is a busy man on Sunday morning! It was great to see him again. It was Lloyd's B-day so the choir sang to him after the broadcast. For anyone who doesn't know who Lloyd Newell is, he is the famous voice we hear while watching the Spoken Word on Sunday mornings. This is the longest running live broadcast in the world. People all over the world hear this each Sunday.
Here is an old picture of us. There's Lloyd in the middle with his sister, Debbie on the left and yours truly on the right holding my cat, Smokey. The 3 of us went to school together, Sharon Elementary, Orem Jr. and then Orem High. Aren't we cute?
Here I am with my cousin, Laurie. It was so great to talk with her. We haven't seen each other for many years. Hope she will sing in the Tabernacle Choir for years to come.
Last but not least, we were able to visit with Dennis' sister, Julie and her husband, Darrell. They are missionaries at the Family History Center in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. They really enjoy their calling.

Welcome Home Elder Day !!!

Arriving at the airport. We can't believe how quickly 2 years have gone by. We can't wait to see Elder Day. Will he be the same "Randy" we all know and love?! ha ha
We found out that Randy's plane has been delayed about 15 mins. But as you can see from the smiles, they don't seem to mind.
Chad was hungry so he decided that he might as well get a bit to eat while he's waiting!
Glad to be sitting here verses sitting in traffic
It shouldn't be much longer!

Cooper's shirt says he's with the Band. I think they all want to be in Randy's next band!
Everyone is so anxious!
Everyone was screaming Randy's name. But he wasn't paying any attention to us...... Then we realized that he was busy sharing the gospel message with this gentleman who as you can see is putting a pass along card in his shirt pocket! Go Elder Day!
He's home!
Dad and Randy

Devin came down from Showlow
Meeting Avery (chad and corri's baby) for the 1st time
Randy looks great!
Jillyn, Toree (randy said she changed the most) and Jamee
Devry and her kids. Cooper was born just after Randy left on his mission. They hit it off right away and will be good buds.

Lindsay wants her Uncle Randy back home
We had a wonderful experience at the Stake Center visiting with Pres. Ballard. Our family feels truly blessed. We missed Brandon (jillyn's husband) and Kristin (devin's wife). They both had to work and couldn't be here with us. We missed you and love you too!
Today was also Devry's Birthday! Having all our family home together today has been so much fun . I love family chaos, the laughter, grandkids running around and the fun and crazy things we do! Welcome Home Randy-You're the Best!

Crazy Girls

Guess who loves David?

If you have children like mine, you absolutely need this....

Our YW had a fundraiser car wash in earn money for camp. Toree and her friend, Cortney went into the church to wash their hands. To their dismay, when they returned they found out that Shaq had dropped by and donated $200 and took a picture with the girls and their leaders. Jamee is on the back row 2 left of Shaq.

Grandpa Day comes down from Idaho Falls to spend time with us each winter. He loves our beautiful weather! Here he is with his 51st? great-grand child, Avery Jackson Day.

During the Easter weekend we took a trip up to Show Low to visit with Devin and Kristin. We always have a great time together. Every night we pull out the Rook cards. We love to play our favorite card games ( Idiots Delight and Oh, Heck- to name a few! )

Watch out for Grandpa Day- he's shows no mercy! Behind Devin and Kristin's backyard is their golf course. So we just jump over the fence after hours. This evening, we went to drive some balls. Did I mention that Grandpa Day is going to be 97 years old this September?!! He can still drive it! He's Amazing!

Kristin has become quite the golfer this year. This is my first time swinging a cub on a real golf course. When I did connect with the ball, it went pretty good. But I couldn't believe how many times I totally missed it all together!! I'm not sure why people love this game so much?
